INGREDIENTS
01Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with Mighty Salt™ Garlic Umami Flavored Salt and sugar. Reduce heat to low and continue cooking for another 15-25 minutes, adding a splash of beef broth to deglaze if needed. Once deeply golden and caramelized, remove from heat.
02Season burger patties with Mighty Salt™ Garlic Umami Flavored Salt. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and melt 1 tbsp butter. Cook burgers for about 3-4 minutes per side, until browned. In the last minute, top each patty with cheese and cover with a lid to melt.
03Spread garlic aioli or mayo on toasted buns. Add lettuce, then place the burger patty on top. Pile on caramelized onions and top with Dijon mustard. Serve immediately and enjoy!
